This organisation manages the navigation, security and operational safety needs of commercial shipping. We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to play a key role in supporting operational leaders through complex workforce challenges. 

About the Role
With a major restructure on the horizon, and a new CEO driving organisational change, this role requires adaptability, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of workforce transformation.
Key areas of focus include industrial relations, workforce transformation, and supporting change initiatives. While performance management is well covered within the team, this role will be instrumental in streamlining HR operations. The organisation is also investing in administrative support, with plans to explore AI-driven efficiencies in HR processes. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic HR support to operational leaders, ensuring alignment with broader organisational objectives.
  • Support workforce transformation initiatives, as we realign positions.
  • Partner closely with IR team, contributing to enterprise bargaining, and union engagement.
  • Work flexibly and proactively to support the evolving needs of the business, particularly in the absence of a formal HRIS.
About You
To be successful, you will have a minimum of five years’ experience in a generalist HR partnering role, or three years in a partnering role with a relevant specialisation. Strong industrial relations exposure is essential. Experience in workforce transformation and organisational change is highly regarded, particularly where you have navigated complex structures and delivered pragmatic HR solutions. You thrive in a resource-constrained environment, problem-solving and driving efficiency in HR processes.
