  • Standalone HR role in a growing, small business.

About Them
This well-established business has been providing specialist services for over 45 years and remains family-run. With a workforce of <100 full-time employees and plans for further growth, they are now seeking a dedicated HR professional to take ownership of the people function. Historically, HR has been managed informally, with operational leaders handling general HR tasks and external lawyers assisting with complex employee relations matters. With increased growth, the business recognises the need for a structured and strategic HR approach to support its people and culture.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations, this newly created role will establish and lead the HR function, supporting day-to-day HR operations while driving key people initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle.
  • Managing ER/IR matters with support where needed.
  • Overseeing recruitment processes and working with agencies as required.
  • Supporting managers with onboarding and performance management.
  • Administering and optimising the HRIS 'EnableHR'.
  • Contributing to initiatives that enhance culture and retention.
This is a hands-on, standalone role that requires someone who is comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with business leaders to embed best-practice HR processes.

About You
You are an adaptable and proactive HR professional with strong generalist experience. You may be an up-and-coming HR Advisor ready to take the next step or an established HRBP seeking a role where you can make a real impact in a growing business. Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and a practical understanding of ER/IR matters will be highly regarded.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building HR capability within a business. With leadership support and room to develop, this is a fantastic opportunity to shape the HR function and drive positive change.
