The Role
Based in Melbourne's Inner City Suburbs, this is a great opportunity for a motivated, highly driven HR generalist who will deliver HR support to a diverse client group, working closely with managers across multiple states, whilst supporting the overall business strategy.  
  
Reporting to the P&C Manager, you will make an impact by:

  • Delivering generalist HR Support and advice  to a diverse client group, with a focus on ER/IR;
  • Providing considered ER/IR guidance and support to people leaders in relation to performance management;
  • Drive and implement national HR initiatives and projects;
  • Build strong relationships and provide coaching/ push back or influence as require;
  • Pivotal in providing ‘on the ground’ advice, support and assistance to people leaders and employees;
  • Award interpretation and supporting grievances;
  • Managing stakeholders expectations.
  
This role will require travel around Metro Melbourne from time to time, so someone who is eager to partner with the business at the frontline is key! A car/license is essential.  
  
Skills and Experience
  
This role would suit someone that is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, is practical and pragmatic in their approach, and has great communication skills.  You will be a true go-getter who wants to grow their HR career in a fast-moving  organisation.
  
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
  • Prior experience as a HR Advisor or Business Partner in a Generalist capacity with a particular interest and skillset in ER/IR.
  • Enjoys nurturing relationships, building strong connections and creating a transparent and fair culture built on trust and consistency.
  • Well rounded ER/IR experience with some understanding dealing with unions and case management
  • A track record for working on projects and partnering with senior leadership through cultural and organisational change.
  • A positive person who is a team player
  
This is a fast-moving business where no two days are the same, requiring this person to be an agile worker who isn't afraid to dive in and get their hands dirty (metaphorically speaking)!
